Photo shoot planning
document
Date and time
of photo shoot: TBC
Material to
be shot: For my second DPS, I will be using a central layout that will follow a
controlled structure. This is why I am taking a images that also look
centralised in terms of stance and positioning. My model will be carrying a
pile of books in their hands with a smile on their faces. The stance will be
central and my model will be facing the camera centrally too. The books should
also be in-line with my model’s solar plexus. This will have a far lighter tone
than any other my photos in my magazine so far.

Describe in detail your make-up & costume needs. (Include
reference material to illustrate your needs)
To give my model a nerdy look, he will be wearing glasses that suggest a knowledgeable nature to him and will therefore look the part and very much like a librarian. His facial expressions will show the joy that can be derived from reading.

Studio shoots: what kind of lighting?
(include
reference material to illustrate your needs)
For this shot, I will be using butterfly lighting because, and this decision is inspired by my central layout that I will be following throughout the DPS. The butterfly lighting would shine down the model, actually creating a central look.

Backdrop:
The backdrop
will be beige for this DPS because my colour palette for this DPS is dark green
& beige. The reason for this is because rather dark or diluted colour have
an academic feel to them, and since my DPS revolves around books themselves, it’s
important to maintain an intellectual tone about the magazine.
Lighting
equipment needs:
For lighting equipment needs, I need to have a fill light and a key light placed at a high position to create the effect, but this needs to be behind myself as I photograph as my model will be facing me.
